Terms of use

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms apply when you use resumeplustools.com and the resume builder at app.resumeplustools.com. By using them, you agree to these terms. Questions: contact@resumeplustools.com.

The service

ResumePlusTools lets you write a resume, choose a template and download it as a PDF, free of charge. You can use it without an account, or create a free account to save up to 50 resumes. We may add, change or remove features, and we will try to give notice of changes that matter to you.

Your account

  • Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • You must be at least 16 to create an account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.

Your content

You own the resumes you write. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can provide the service to you, for example to save them and make your PDFs. We do not publish them, sell them or use them for advertising. You are responsible for making sure what you write is accurate and that you have the right to include it.

Fair use

Please do not:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or to impersonate someone else;
  • try to access other people’s accounts or resumes, or to break, overload or get around the security of the service;
  • use automated tools to create accounts, scrape the site or generate PDFs in bulk;
  • resell or repackage the service.

We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Templates and the site

You can use our templates for your own resumes, including commercially, for example when applying for jobs. The website, the builder, its design and its code belong to ResumePlusTools; please do not copy them.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep ResumePlusTools available and your resumes safe, but we provide it free and “as is”. We cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that a resume made with it will get you an interview or a job. Our guides and tips are general advice, not professional career or legal advice. Keep your own copy of important resumes, for example by downloading the PDF.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost opportunities or income, arising from your use of the free service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer laws where you live, such as the Australian Consumer Law or UK consumer law, or limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, email account holders before they take effect. If you do not agree with the new terms, you can delete your account.
